The world microfestival of micrometrajes began in May 2013 at the Octubre CCC (Valencia). This year we celebrate the second edition networking with collaborative groups from Bar­celona, Bilbao, Vigo, Pontevedra, Sevilla, Granada, Pamplona… and Nagano, Habana, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Mexico City, Oslo, Berlin, Brighton, Lisbon, Paris, London, Athens…

 

 

 

The dematerialization of the work of art is a tool of creative emancipation. Who needs noth­ing, doesn’t depend on anyone. Thats why this last century has been the one of research towards dematerialized models, while escaping from an autonomous and self-absorbed art to be able to insert the presence of art in life.

 

Today, technological democratization allows the artistic and cultural production to be reached by everyone.

 

With this approach, Cole·lectibo proposes a call for dematerialized cinema. We propose lowtech microfilms , less than one minute long , recorded with low resolution cameras (mobile phone cameras , webcam, etc...).

 

Send in your microfilm to elcol.lectibo@gmail.com before 15th of March. All the material gathered will be considered as free culture, which means , it can be copied, distributed and managed freely, and it will in this way, become part of a public record.

 

Due to the international character of the festival it would be greatly appreciated if the videos were sent with English Subtitles.

 

The works will be publicly exhibited in the different areas of the organizations network from the 5th of April, 2014 , and will become part of an accessible online archive .
